We will find ourselves driving down-hill directly through Positano where we will descend down the winding one-way road, passing by many picturesque houses and shops, and arrive in the heart of the town, at Piazza "dei Mulini". We will drive directly downtown, where big buses can’t. We will park our vehicle at the last place where we can drive, from there we can walk, visit and enjoy one of the most spectacular towns, denominated “The Jewel of The Amalfi coast".

Back on the main Amalfi coast road and leaving Positano, the coastal road begins and runs through the fishing villages of Praiano, Furore, Conca dei Marini, and Amalfi.
We will then take a relaxing drive uphill along a very narrow road passing several wineries and olive factories which will lead us to Ravello. A rural village completely unspoilt by tourism, perched on top of the mountain cliff situated above Amalfi and Minori. Ravello, is famous for its breath-taking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments and these are seen at their very best in the stunning gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. In high season, these gardens are rich in the heady perfume of blooming flowers, flora and the sharp, sweet scent of lemons. Ravello is also denominated CITY OF THE MUSIC, here Richard Wagner composed his opera “Parsifal”. There are many classical concerts held in the gardens of Villa Rufolo.
Our next drive will then be to Pompeii where you will spend 2 hrs with a licensed, professional tour guide exploring the ruins of one of the largest archeological sites in the world. Our day to Paestum will start as we drive by the town of Salerno, where just to the east and past the headlands of Pontecagnano, Battipaglia, and Eboli, lies one of the most well-preserved collections of Greek Temples from all over the world. Originally created as a tribute to the Greek God Poseidon, this city will impress upon you the history of this ancient period as it holds one of the best examples of the Doric orders in the west.
Since 1988, UNESCO has recognized Paestum as a World Heritage Site. Unlike the busy Pompeii and even Herculaneum, Paestum can often be deserted as it is off the beaten path other tourists take. The gleaming white marble of the ancient Greek temples that date back to the 6th century BC, set against the dark brown hills and deep blue sea, provide a uniquely Greek experience in Italy.
Today, the preserved temple of Hera II (once mistakenly believed to be the Temple of Poseidon) is one of three temples you will have the opportunity to see. You will have about 2 - 2.5 hours to visit the ruins and the archeological museum that is home to a rich collection of Greek art and antiquities, with a private guide.

Your day will begin with a drive along the magnificent Sorrento coast, during which we will stop a couple of times to capture photos of its beauty.
Your food adventure will then begin in the countryside of Sorrento, where we will visit an Olive Oil Factory and learn how this base ingredient of Italian cuisine is made. This tour of the family farm includes seeing the former mills of 1849 with old millstones and learning of the ancient technique of olive oil pressing involving the metal press as well as the new mills with technology that is less fascinating, yet qualitatively safer. We will also have the opportunity to taste about 15 different types of extra virgin olive oil served with fresh baked bread.
We will then move on to a refreshing and joyful gelato tasting, in one of the most known Gelateria in Sorrento you will be able to go through the various ice cream flavors and pick your favorites to try out as a bit of an appetizer before your main meal which is, of course gonna be... PIZZA!
Your private driver will then take you to a local restaurant where you will build on your newly found knowledge and use two of the main ingredients in Italian cooking as you learn to make your own classic pizza margherita or a variation of it using your favorite toppings. Authentic Neapolitan pizzas are made with local ingredients like San Marzano tomatoes which grow on the volcanic plains in the south part of Mount Vesuvius, the famous olive oil, and Mozzarella cheese. Once prepared, it will cook in a wood oven and you will then sit together with your group to eat your culinary masterpieces.
To help aid in the digestion of your pizza, a shot of the Amalfi Coast’s famous limoncello will complete this culinary experience and set you on the way to the amazing ruins of Pompeii where your private guide will be waiting for you to eagerly guide you through the unforgettable ruins on a private guided tour which will bring Pompeii back to life!

You will have time to visit the "Jewel of the Amalfi Coast", famous all over the world for its enchanting panoramas. Snap a picture of its unique vertical colorful skyline, stroll around its alleys and steps, or splurge on shopping on local crafts, such as the "Positano fashion" linen dresses, handmade sandals, ceramics, and much more.
Afterwards your group will reach Sorrento, a wonderful resort town built as a terrace on the Mediterranean Sea. You will enjoy some free time there, to visit its historic section where many local craft shops (such as leather gooods, ceramics, inlaid woodwork) and Limoncello factories are located, or to have something to drink in the main Piazza.
Your driver will then escort you to the countryside in order to reach a family-owned restaurant where will have a traditional and tasty lunch. The usual menu includes several starters, such as Parma ham, mozzarella cheese, tomato salad with fresh basil, then a main entrée of a mix of pasta dishes, and finally a dessert that will be paired with a shot of limoncello (very famous lemon liquor made in Italy, peculiar from the Amalfi coast) which aids as a digestive. After a 30 minute drive you will arrive at our first stop: the majestic volcano Mt Vesuvius! The one responsible for the premature end of Herculaneum. The driver will escort you until the last accessible point by vehicle. You will then trek up Mt. Vesuvius (tickets included) for a short hike (about 20 minutes) to arrive at the crater. The cone stands roughly 4200 feet high, but no matter how far you venture up, you will be able to see the entire Gulf of Naples, from Sorrento to Capo Miseno to Procida and Ischia. The panorama of the Naples Coast is truly spectacular.
We will then continue on to our next stop: a local vineyard located on the slopes of the volcano. You will visit the winery and discover how the local wines are produced in this beautiful area, so dangerously close to a sleeping volcano.
