You will then reach Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
You will have free time there to visit Santa Maria del Fiore, the Battistero, the Santa Croce basilica and of course the Accademia where the original Michelangelo’s David statue is located.
Please note that we strongly recommend reserving skip-the-line tickets for the Accademia in advance and coordinating this visit with the rest of the group. This will help ensure the same entry time for everyone and avoid any itinerary or timing issues that could impact the tour.

After a relaxing drive you will reach the first destination of the day, Pisa.

Like most cities in Italy, Lucca still shows Roman roots and style. Its defensive walls are perfectly preserved and once you've entered you'll feel that you've returned to the past. Lucca is a MUST see city, filled with many characteristic shops and restaurants. You can take time to enjoy an authentic meal at a local restaurant, explore the area by foot or even choose to rent bicycles from one of the local shops and take a leisurely ride around the area. Whatever you choose to do, you will enjoy your time here.
After Lucca, you will drive to the beautiful beach area of Forte dei Marmi.
Here you will have about 2 hours to enjoy this area, established as a highly desirable vacation destination for prominent families residing in northern Italy during the 18th and 19th centuries. The allure of the sea’s beauty continues to draw people to this seaside town today.
After this great excursion you will drive back to the ship.
