How Italy Tour Sharing works

We booked an Italy tour sharing trip (by Joe Banana limos) with this company that included Sorrento, Positano and Revello with lunch at La Tagliata. We were on a Celebrity cruise ship and we were picked up by Nunzio right outside the gates from the ship dock as advised in the communications we received when we booked online. Nunzio provided an excellent day on the Amalfi coast with clear and informative information about the areas we were travelling through and, he was happy to answer any questions that were asked by the group. The van we travelled in was new and very comfortable and had a speaker system so all the passengers in the van could hear the commentary. The lunch at La Tagliata should not be missed because, the view from the restaurant over the bay, was spectacular and the food and wine were excellent...

We had a really fun drive from Napoli to pasteum with messimo. He is very entertaining! Paulo met us at the ruins and was impressively able to engage our often bored teens. Ask him for his trick panoramic photo of the ruins. The buffalo farm was really interesting. We had guide Laura who showed us the manure to methane to electricity operations and took us to meet some of the animals. (You can’t see the cheese made as it is done at night to be used the next day.) milking may be observed briefly if your tour is around 4ish. We really enjoyed the lunch. There is a big playground too if you have kids who need something they are allowed to climb on. Messimo found a shop on the way home for a very specific souvenir we wanted.

I organized a tour for 14 people from the port of Naples with Joe Bananas. Our day with Paulo was the best tour of our 10 day cruise! He was very informative, entertaining, shared lots of narration during our long driving times, quite friendly and most of all FUN. The restaurant selected for lunch was far from the tourist areas and we were served by the owners family, the food was better that what I imagined a meal in the hills of Italy would be. Our family recently took a Mediterranean cruise, which brought us to southern Italy for the first time.

I arranged a private shore excursion with Joe Banana Limos to travel from the port of Naples to Sorrento and Pompeii. The company graciously worked with me to customize it just a little bit, by adding in a stop at the olive oil farm, as well as a lunch at Frate Cosimo in the countryside.

This was one of our most memorable and beautiful days from our entire trip. Giovanni was with us for the day, and was an absolute pleasure . . . warm, friendly, and eager to ensure we were having the best possible experience. He was also an extremely safe driver.

The day was paced perfectly. We fell in love with Sorrento, which we toured on our own after a few orientation tips from Giovanni that included an excellent gelateria recommendation.

Our visit to the olive oil farm was a true pleasure, and just the right length. The tasting was extensive and delicious.

Next, we went to lunch at Frate Cosimo. The restaurant fed us a lovely and delicious variety of food that just kept coming. No menus, just a memorable lunch that was "molto delicioso"!

Finally, we went to Pompeii. Joe Banana had coordinated with an expert tour guide there, Veronica, who helped us maximize our two hours in Pompeii. Her knowledge helped us get considerably more out of our visit than if we had tried to tour it on our own. I appreciated that this tour was arranged ahead of time by Joe Banana Limos.

We truly couldn't have been more pleased with Joe Banana Limos. In fact, we enjoyed our day with them so much that we are going back to Sorrento next summer. And there is no question who we will ask to take care of our transfers and tours! Thank you to the entire company, and especially to Giovanni, for a glorious introduction to your beautiful area!

We had the pleasure of touring with Aldo visiting the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. Aldo knew all the great spots to visit and was very knowledgeable of the history everyplace we visited. We had a party of 8 from a cruise ship and arranged to have a driver from Joe Banana Tours. What a great choice this was! Our driver, Luca, was a delight. He was personable and knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. He made sure we were oriented at each stop and returned to pick us up at the designated point on time.
